Parents are invited and encouraged to get involved in the Band Boosters! We have a place for everyone to help at every level. We would like to use your talents to make this band program great for our kids. We love to have parents participate and during Marching Season (August to November) is when volunteers are needed the most. We need parents to alter uniforms, help get the band in uniform for shows, cook, serve, chaperone, help with the field props, serve as officers, and serve on committees, and travel with the kids. All parent volunteers are required to fill out a volunteer form on the Downloads page.
The band travels each fall to compete regionally. We like to have a lot parents travel with us. The parents who come travel with the band are those who have participated locally; they attend to the details of getting the band on the field for local competitions and performances. Get involved with the Boosters!
We would love to hear from you or see you at one of the upcoming Booster Meetings. Booster Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month, September to May at 6:00 pm in the High School band room. If there is a change in the date or time of the meeting a message will be sent out via Parent Portal and Facebook. You can contact the Booster President by email or phone using the links above.
The Booster Organization is comprised of a Booster Executive Board and the General Membership. The following positions make up the Executive Board:
President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Communications Officer, Uniform Manager, Food Chairperson, Special Effects Directors, Band Directors and Color Guard Advisor.
Elected positions are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Communications Officer. Nominations for officers are opened at the December Booster meeting and elections for officers are held annually at the January Booster meeting. Newly elected Booster officers assume their positions on April 1st of each year.
Other Executive Board members are appointed and confirmed by the existing board members. All board members serve for one year, from April 1st to March 31st of the following year.
The Executive Committee meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at 6 pm in the High School band room.
